Tulips in a Vase

These recycled paper flowers in a vase are lovely!

 

What You Need (1 per student):

 

  • Magazines with colorful pages (cut a handful of strips for each student about ¾ “ thick and 9” long)
  • 9” x 11” piece of yellow construction paper
  • Glue
  • 10” x 12” piece of brown construction paper
  • White crayons
  • 9” x 8” piece of black construction paper
  • Scissors

 

What To Do:

 

  1. Cut lengthwise strips from magazines with colorful pages about ¾” apart.
  2. Glue the strips lengthwise onto the yellow piece of construction paper.
  3. Glue the finished yellow construction paper to the brown piece of construction paper.
  4. Trace a picture of a vase and flowers onto the 9” x 8” piece of black construction paper, using a white crayon.
  5. Cut out the inside of the vase and flower drawing.
  6. Glue the cut out drawing onto the strips of magazines.
